Zero-day attacks are not a trivial matter. These are serious exploits because they enter the wild without a patch to fix the vulnerability and are often undetected until used. These attacks are most effective when exploited in a timely manner…and they can be devastating.
This specific vulnerability (CVE-2019-5786) affects the browser through the FileReader API. Other than that, google has not released much information about it.
Zero-day vulnerabilities are one of a myriad of threats out there ready to compromise your information systems and harvest your personal data. For this very reason, it is imperative to be diligent in keeping your software up to date and follow best practices while surfing the web.
